Cindy Bert Wallace passed away the afternoon of April 24, 2018 surrounded by friends and family.Cindy was born in San Benito, Texas, July 24, 1957, to Clyde and Evelyn Wallace. Her childhood was spent growing up in San Benito and later Harlingen. She was a cheerleader for the Marine Military Academy and involved in numerous activities at Harlingen High School, including art association, choir, student council, and drama club.Cindy’s love of art was enriched under the teachings of her mother, Evelyn Wallace. Cindy and Evelyn worked together for many years designing condominium interiors on South Padre Island, their very favorite place to spend time together. One of their most memorable projects was designing the Island condo interior for Governor John Connally and his wife, Nellie.After relocating to Midland, Texas, Cindy continued to design both homes and businesses in Midland and surrounding cities. She was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and for the last 20 years was the owner of Cindy Wallace Interiors.In Cindy’s own words…..”I have been blessed by so many friends surrounding and filling my life with love and happiness”. Her friends, in return, will sorely miss her love of life, her larger than life personality, and her never ending sense of humor.Cindy was preceded in death, by her parents. She is survived by her brother Clyde Miller Wallace (Michele), stepdaughter Cori Adamson (Bryan) and their children Kendel and Kameron. She is also survived by her godson, Adam Warren.Honorary pallbearers are Scott Bowden, Marion Daily, Jody Hughes, Jaime Ramos, Tom Sloan, Ted Taylor, Adam Warren, and Ronnie Williams.In lieu of flowers, Cindy requested that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Jan Reed, officiating. A reception will follow the services from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm at The Branch at npw, 3800 N Big Spring ST, Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
