Christopher “Rocky” Tubb, 52, of Weatherford, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

“Rocky” was born November 30, 1972, to parents David Tubb and Cindy (Daniel) Tubb in Abilene, Texas.  Rocky grew up in Big Spring, Texas, and attended Big Spring High School until his graduation in 1991.  He loved playing competitive tennis during his time in high school. In 1992, Rocky attended Southwest Texas State and soon after began a long, successful career in hospitality, sales, and marketing with Marriott, Hilton, and later Midland Country Club, where he earned his designation as a Certified Professional in Catering and Events. He enjoyed playing golf, watching movies, and spending time with family. Rocky touched many people with his kind spirit and attitude of service.  He will always be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Kristi Tubb of Weatherford, children Evan Tubb and Brenna Tubb both of Big Spring; stepchildren Collin Crane of Ft. Worth and Casey Crane of Odessa; his parents David and Cindy (Daniel) Tubb of Big Spring, his brother Tharon “Binky” Tubb of Big Spring and stepbrothers Todd Tubb of Big Spring and Tim Tubb of Belton; nieces Avree Tubb and her daughter Tahja of Ft. Worth; nephew Jayden Tubb of Bedford and two grandchildren by marriage Aydenn and Alana.  Chris was blessed and loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Jeary Tubb, and by his maternal grandparents, Don and Sharon Minyard and, Charlie Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.  Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Cancer Society.
