Chris was a bright light in our Chicago team—always full of laughter, encouragement, and good energy. He believed in me at a time I was finding my path, and his support meant the world. We danced, we worked hard, and we always found joy in the journey. My deepest condolences to his wife and family. Chris, your spirit lives on in every life you touched. With love, Angela M. Camacho

I met Chris in high school, I’m a couple of grades before him, but he seemed to have just shown up at ASPIRA club. No idea how and can’t remember exactly when but when I think about the day I met him, I remember his booming voice, his laugh that laughed with joy and his warm energy. Always smiling, always happy to be in community with others, always there to help where he could, the tallest guy in the hallways who was likely heard singing a song. After he graduated from HS, we kept in touch and always talked about a club reunion. We even bonded over being in Greek life. I will always think of Chris fondly and am sending hugs, love and peace to his family and friends. Truly an unforgettable person.

Chris and I had a lot of memories together since we were really close friends. Chris and I been friends since we worked together back in 2017. He was like a big little brother to me. I remember playing NBA 2K and Star Wars during the pandemic just to pass by time during Covid year. We always chatted about sports & music. I remember he would always tell me whenever I was going through a tough time deciding on which job to select from (had 2 options at the time) to pray on it & it would work out every time. Going to miss you bro hope you rest in peace. My condolences go out to Kaylee and the family as well.

Chris was a man beyond his 32 years. His ability to stay positive and calm during times of crisis taught so many people on why he was a true leader. Chris’s musical gifts got him to be accepted at Lincoln Park High School which meant Chris had to spend over 2 hours a day to get to school. Chris still managed to smile and stay his very positive self. Chris had so many talents that were just born in him. He continued to grow as a person and mentor even the adults that can within his orbit. The news of his passing hit me tremendously as I had just lost a good friend on Mother’s Day unexpectedly at 52. I told Chris that I was no longer holding back in saying what needs to be said because of Jenn. So our last conversations were with more depth and clarity to the next stages in our lives. And now I have another person that I’ve lost that has told us all to “be better” and I think is something Chris has again taught people decades older than him. 🥰 We will miss you daily Chris. But how we will all miss you so much. ❤️💔❤️
