Christine Louise Owens, of Midland, died on Saturday, September 16, 2006, in a local care facility at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 8 days.Christine was born on January 8, 1914 in Parker County to John D. Blair, Jr. and Mattie Smith Blair. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and wife. She lived most of her life in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Angelo, Crystal City, and Avery, Texas and Capitan, New Mexico. She moved to Midland in 1996 to be near her niece. Mrs. Owens loved her family, visiting her brothers and sisters families often and attending the Blair Reunions at Crystal Lake in the summers. She loved to tell stories of times growing up during the depression. She attended school at Coleman Springs. Her Mother died when she was a very young child and her Father died while she was still a teenager, leaving her brothers and sisters to care for her until she was grown. Christine always had a smile, and kind words for everyone she met. She was witty and had a joke for everyone. She had a sweet gentle Christian spirit, and was a joy to be around.She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.Survivors include her nieces and caregivers, Sue Carnes of Midland, Mattie Anglin of Athens, Ginger Cline of Brownwood, and Mae Elizabeth Seibert of Anaheim, California and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Horace Connell, Marion Taylor and Frank Owens; one son, Horace Connell, Jr.; five brothers, Obbie, Harris, Forrest, Ira and Willie and seven sisters, Sula Cash, Roma Beene, Oma Russey, Lillie Blair, Katie Boone, Lucille Blair and Jewell Harvey.,
