Christina L. "Tina" Bristow Smith, 46, of Big Spring, died on Friday, September 17, 2004, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Jeff Janca, pastor for the Big Spring Fire Department, officiating and Bob Rumpff, Big Spring Fire Department Chaplain, assisting. Tina was born on November 8, 1957, in Houston, Texas and married Louie Smith on February 14, 1985 in Coahoma. She graduated from Coahoma High School in 1978 and had been a member of the band. Tina loved horses and her two dogs, JoJo and Duchess. She was the only female bull rider from Howard County and loved to rodeo. She worked for Taco Villa in Snyder, Sweetwater and as the manager in Big Spring for the past nine years. She had also worked as a dietary manager for various nursing homes. Survivors include husband, Louie Smith of Big Spring; her mother, Victoria Moore of Abilene; her father, William Bristow of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Vikki and Jeff Estes of Tuscola; one step brother, Charles Bristow of Overland Park, Kansas; her grandmother, Lillie Mae Stout of Rockwood, Tennesee; one niece, Grace Estes of Tuscola; two nephews, David and Jackson Estes of Tuscola, She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Moore; two sisters, Melody and Darja Moore; her grandparents, O.C. and Luella Moore and Jesse Cartwright.
