Christina Lea Bartlett was born October 16, 1966 in Midland, Texas, to Bill and Jenny Bartlett. After a lengthy illness of ten years, the Lord called her home on December 20, 2012.Christi attended Grace Lutheran Churchs Early Childhood Program with Doris Turner being her kindergarten teacher. After the Bartlett family moved to Big Spring, she attended and was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church and graduated from Big Spring High in 1983. She then was among the first class to graduate from Texas A & M Corpus Christi, with honors, majoring in education and English Literature. She taught school at Bonham and Washington Elementary. Christi was a big sister and a member of various church and community organizations.Her grandparents, Bill and Lydia Richter and Ivan and Pauline Bartlett, preceded her in death. Survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Christi loved children, writing, and music. She was blessed with a beautiful voice. Of utmost importance to her was her church, as well as her numerous friends and family who constantly remembered her in prayers.Memorial services will be conducted Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 W Golf Course RD, with Pastor Robert Pase, officiating. Donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Churchs building fund or the charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. We are so sorry for your loss----You all are in our thoughts and prayers......I am so sorry that we did not know in time to be with you all for a shoulder to lean on.....Christie was beautiful and so smart......I know she will be missed but will be singing with the angels......We care and love you all..

My sincere condolences to her family. She was such a nice, caring person. Always concerned with others. We were classmates and graduated from BSHS together. Her kind spirit carried many through some rough times...she always shared such a positive attitude for others to draw from and from which to learn. Rest eternal as she goes home to her Maker. I went to school with Christie before I moved to Alabama. She was a good friend. My deepest sympathy to her family. You will be in my prayers.

I am saddened to hear of Christi's passing. I was her principal when she taught at Washington Elementary several years ago. I remember her as a beautiful and talented young teacher who had a great rapport with her students. Please accept my condolences. I know that she will be missed.
