Chester Eckert, 56, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. David Harp, pastor of First Baptist Church of Stanton, officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Miles Cemetery Miles. He was born on March 16, 1952, in Snyder, Texas. He came to Big Spring in 1975 from Thorndale, Texas and was a truck driver. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include two brothers, Steve Eckert, and Fred Eckert both of Big Spring and one sister, Dornell King of Big Spring. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Elmer Eckert. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
