Chase Wyatt Quine was born April 15, 1986 to Carolyn and Eddie Quine in Midland. He left this earth October 21, 2007 to join his heavenly Father and loved ones before him. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Greenwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the funeral home.Chase leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents; three brothers, Michael, Jacob and his wife, Amanda, all of Midland, and Justin (Smitty) Smith of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; a sister, Kristin of Midland; grandparents, Garland and Edwina Pearce, Don and Hisako Futrell, all of Midland and Louise Scott and Pete Quine of Lufkin, Texas; numerous aunts and uncles; a large number of cousins, one in particular, Scott Futrell of Midland where one was, usually so was the other. He also leaves behind a host of friends, too many to mention by name, all of which have entered our life for the better because of Chase and have left their footprints on our hearts forevermore.Chase was preceded in death by an uncle, Gary Futrell and friends, Kody Turner and Joe Ramirez.Chase was given to us for 21 short years and has left an indelible mark on our lives and those that knew him. He has touched many people, some of which he will never know. He recently worked the Kairos Prison Ministry with his family in Lamesa and there are men stepping forth and claiming our Savior as theirs because of Chase.Chase loved bull riding, skiing, hunting, tubing the Frio, hanging out with his friends and the work he did with Boy Scout Troop 232 of Midland, of which Chase himself became an Eagle Scout. He loved riding his motorcycle. His involvement with the Kairos ministry was one he was looking forward to becoming very involved in.When asked by friends and family to describe Chase in one or two words, they all instantly and without hesitation stated the following: Caring, Compassionate, Charisma, Loyal, Supportive, Kind, Fearless, Free Spirit, Lived his life to the fullest, Strong, Nothing he wouldn't try, Lion hearted, Stubborn, Dynamite in a Small Package, Short fused, but quick to forgive (he was just learning how to say I'm sorry), Good Friend, One of a Kind, As good as they come, Contagious smile, Respectful, Well-mannered, Strong willed, Loved. Chase always said he was going to be somebody …….. And I guess he was.Chase, you brought such joy to our lives, a real pain at times, but we would not trade one minute of it. We will miss you greatly and we will never forget you! A SPECIAL THANKS TO GRAM, STEVE AND MARY ANN BLAYLOCK, MS. Chase would of been so proud of all of you and how you have shown your love and support for him to our family these past few weeks. We are continually being blessed and I wanted to share gratitude to his friends who contributed to Chases memorial stone. Also wanted to say thanks to the Rocking "B" Bull Company who have named a bull after Chase (Chase's Dream) He would of reallly liked that. And to those who donated to Trrop 232, the money is going to be used to build a troop rifle that will be used to train young men in gun safety. Also to those who donated to the Kairo's Prision Ministry and for the work that will be done there. God Bless each and every one of you. Carolyn and Edie Quine & family

I was privileged to have been Chase’s Aunt for his 21 ½ years of life. He was such a blessing to our family. He rarely ever said no when asked for his help on some repair or another at my house or Grandma’s house. I wished Koleton had gone on what would have been his last Boy Scout trip but I hope now instead he gets to follow in his cousin footsteps and become an eagle when his time comes. I know what Chase meant to our family but still I am overwhelmed by all the people that came to the family visitation and to his funeral and what people continue to do for us with your prayers and words of comfort. We talked often but not near enough. I am thankful for us to say we love each other when we talked because we don’t know if tomorrow will come. I am so proud of the man Chase became this past year and for the lives he brought to Christ and for others that we might never know about. I know I will see him again beyond Heaven’s gate. For my family in Midland and outside of Midland I pray for our healing of the pain we face everyday without Chase. I can only imagine what he would be saying to us now if he could. To my sister, brother in law, nieces and nephews I am here if you need me. To Chase I will miss that contagious smile of yours and your helping hands.

To the entire family, we send you our most sincere thoughts and prayers. In a time of loss and despair, remember the good times and the laughter you were lucky enough to have. Chase made an impression on everyone he met and we will cherish that forever.

Dean & Family, There's no way to tell you how much our hearts are broken for you. Please forgive us for not writing to you sooner. Since I'm the only one in the family with a working computer, I have been asked to send condolences for everyone here. We all want you to know that we are praying diligently for all of you. The obituary in the Lufkin Daily News was beautiful, and it let us know what an awesome testimony Chase left with. You all had to be proud of him. Will you be continuing the prison ministry? I do hope so. It sounds as if our Heavenly Father has been using your whole family for His Glory. Please don't stop allowing Him to use you. It is so essential that there is a huge increase of "workers in the field." When we were young, sitting & visiting in Aunt Bessie's yard, we had no idea what all lay ahead for us, did we? I'm so glad to finally get to speak to you again, even if it is on this guest list, because family members drift away from each other, & the neat visits just go away & are replaced with the cares of this life. Please don't let this be the only communication -- email me back. Carolyn, I have only met you once, but I can be a very caring & loyal friend, so please feel free to email me or call me. Chase was a wonderful and caring guy! I loved everything about him! He was VERY loyal, lovable, and he always knew how to make me laugh! Chase-A-Roo, I will miss ya bud!! Watch over us all down here! We will all take care of your family down here as best as we possibly can! I will always cherish the memories we have! So until we meet again, its not good bye but see ya later! P.S. If there are scorpians up there, don't eat them!!

Chase came over to my parents house a few times and every time we got to see him it was pure joy. My mom would always compliment him on his heart piercing blue eyes and when she did he would get embarassed and do this nervous laugh and nod his head, it was very cute. He is going to be missed. To all of his family, ya'll are in our thoughts and prayers.

Carolyn, Eddie, and the Quine family, I cannot tell you how sorry we are! Chase was a wonderful person to be around and I will always remember his smiling face! Mischievious? yes-but with a heart of gold! He will be missed!! People like Chase are "special" in their own way. He was somebody!! So honest! So himself! That's why he is so loved!! Carolyn, I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family during this time of great sorrow.

Chase you were a great guy that could always make me smile and laugh. You will be missed greatly but you are a far better place. My prayers and thoughts go out to all that knew Chase.

My family and I want to just let you know our prayers will be with the family and friends. The memories of chase and the stockshow, we wont forget. Its sad that he had to go at such a young age but we all know he lived life to the fullest! Just remember we have to take life one day at a time and thats how chase lived.

I am out of town but wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time--

I didn't get the chance to know Chase as well as others, but my mom used to babysit him, and I was lucky enough to know him for a while.. I remember when my sister, Shelby, and I were looking for a lawn mower at lowes and he came up and made fun of us because we didn't have any idea what we were doing. Or the time Paige and I were fixing up Carla's rent house, and there was water coming out of the wall, and Chase walked in and turned a knob and water shot out of the wall all over us! He was a really sweet great guy. :

We just want you to know your family is in our prayers. Chase and Drew were the best of friends , as close as brothers. Chase will be in our family's heart forever.

THERE ARE NO GOOD-BYES AS WE WILL CARRY YOU WITH US FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS. Carolyn, Eddie, Kristen and family... Please know that we all share in your tears and your pain at the loss of your son and brother. But please also know that there are SO MANY who shared in the love and laughter of your son and will always carry a part of Chase with them. Chase was loved and he knew it. He struggled with loving hisself at times. We knew he touched many, was always the life of the party and the center of every activity, a real leader a very loyal friend. Chase was a wonderful friend though the years to my son Joseph (Jody) O'Brien. They had their ups and downs but always remained friends. I will always remember him when he was young coming to the house riding horses and camping in the back yard with Jody. My prayers and sympathy go out to the family.

Chase was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. His love of adventure in life and his courage were admirable. I know he will be truely missed. I still value the time we spent as friends valuable and unforgettable. My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to his family during this difficult time.
