Charlotte D’Aun Welch, 55, of Midland, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior, July 26, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Alamo Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Murphy officiating.Charlotte was born in Big Spring, Texas on June 19, 1961. She was a 1979 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas, where she took cosmetology and started working as a beautician before she graduated high school. She owned and operated Loosends Hair Salon in Midland, Texas.Charlotte was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. She also had a huge passion for “fur babies” (dogs). Halloween and Christmas was her favorite holidays. Grinch was her favorite character and theme. She loved to cook and collect cookbooks and her favorite food was chocolate.Charlotte loved her church and church family. She had a passion for, and supported various charities throughout the community. Charlotte was a member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church for approximately 48 years.Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Hatton; her father Jack Welch and her grandparents Ivan & Pauline Bartlett and Leon & Jo Welch, and a special cousin Christy Bartlett.Charlotte is survived by her mother and dad, Maggie & Bill Leonard, of Midland, her brothers Bart Welch & wife Debbie of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Ernie White & wife Rena of Lamesa, Texas; Mark Leonard & wife Donna of Midland, Texas; Tom Scally & wife Deb of Azle, Texas; and sister Minnie Hardcastle & husband Larry of Chandler, Texas; and numerous Aunts, Uncles nieces and nephews.Charlotte was also survived by a special friend, Shane Yeager and was an adopted Aunt to Brandy Martinez plus a host of friends.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Alamo Heights Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
