Bobby & Teresa Stafford left a message on April 12, 2010:
To Mama Lou and family: Charlie was one of a kind. Who else would haul two pigs in the backseat of his wife's car from Clyde to Pecos? I will always be thankful for the time he spent with me, teaching me the methods and values of hunting. I will always appreciate the patience he and Mama Lou had with Carl and I... It was not an easy job I am sure. Love, Bobby.

Paul Elkins left a message on April 11, 2010:
Sir Charles, Thanks so much for your words of encouragement, your smile, and you handshake. Your ability to reach out to all the folks that walked through the doors of Fairmont Park was amazing. You put visitors at ease. However, you knew so many of them that came through those doors, it was always more like a homecoming than a visit. You finished the race, and you've kept the Faith. Thank you for being such a wonderful example of what GOD wants a man to be. Mary Lou is a special lady, and you are a very special man. Thank you for your example. Paul Elkins
