Charles or "Shanghi" as we knew him will be missed by a few of us on CR 1128 also. We did not get the privilege of knowing him long but the time we had will not be forgotten. He was a great person with a GREAT BIG heart that truly loved his wife, kids and life! Makiko, Elena and Evan are in our prayers! He will be greatly missed. God Bless Jimmie, Lesley, Nikki and Maddie Caughron

We didn't really know Charles that well, but he was a very friendly neighbor, it is hard for me to believe I am not going to come around the bend in 1127 and see him mowing his yard or underneath the hood of his truck, but always looking up long enough to pass on a smile and a wave. I did have the chance to get to know Mekika, Elaina, and Evan and my heart is truly with you all right now, I will pray for you and that somehow you will find comfort through God during this trying time. You are all wonderful people and I know you will miss your husband and your daddy, and your son greatly, but someday you will meet up again....I know that doesn't seem like much right now, but you have to have faith, and God will see you through.

Charles was our neighbor and friend. Everyone will miss him on Co. Rd. 1127 he was a smiling face and always happy to help his neighbors. Lonnie and Charles spent many hrs in the barn talking about life in general. He nick named him "Shanghi" and he thought that was pretty funny. We love his wonderful wife and beautiful children and our hearts are very sad for them all. God Bless ~ Lonnie, Carol and Kwentan Williamson

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We have so many great memories of Charles and our son's friendship. Rusty would like to get in touch with you. I left our numbers with the funeral home after I could not find any numbers in the phone book. Rusty lives in Houston and has a wife, three year old son and a baby on the way. We are all grieving the loss of Charles with you. Please get in touch with Rusty or me. Is there somewhere we could send a memorial?

"If you knew where I am standing If you could see the sights I see If you could hear the angels singing The songs they sing eternally. If you knew the One I'm holding Could see the smile He smiles at me If you knew where I am resting You would not cry for me. I'm resting in the arms of Jesus No other place would I rather be So if you shed a tear Please don't shed it for me. For if you knew where I am resting You would not cry for me." May you find peace and love in the memories you cherish. Kim & Steve Kempton
