Charles Douglas Dunny (Chuck), 71, passed away at his home in Midland, Texas on July 2, 2013. He was born on June 16, 1942, in Tecumseh, MI to John and Ina Dunny.He was preceded in death by his parents of Phoenix, AZ; an infant son, Charles Douglas, Jr.; four brothers; and three sisters.Chuck leaves behind his wife of 46 years, LaWanda; three daughters, LaTane King, Tammy Hunt, and Pam Dunny; as well as one son Robert Waldrop. He also leaves behind four brothers and three sisters, John and Lorraine Dunny of Manchester, Michigan, Dar and Sil Egler of Payson, Arizona, Ray Dunny of Phoenix, Arizona, Delores Cook of Dallas, Texas, Tom and Cassie Dunny of Payson, Arizona, and Larry and Cottie Dunny of Tempe, Arizona; six grandchildren, Kenny Philips, Casey Hill, Ronny Philips, Charles Philips, Shayna Sterrett, and Cutter Sterrett; and two great-granddaughters, Tatumn Ricketts and Briley Ricketts. There were also many many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws that were dear to Chucks heart.For almost 20 years, he owned and operated Trade-N-Treasures in Midland, Texas with his wife LaWanda. Chuck spent most of his life in retail. He retired from Fed-Mart at the early age of 41. He went on to work for the Arizona Cactus Pine Girl Scouts when he retired from them in 1994. That is when he followed his dreams and started his own business. He retired and sold Trade-N-Treasures on November 17, 2012. Chucks love for life was his family. He planned to return to Arizona and start the next chapter in life. Although those plans changed and he was called home by the Good Lord, his Spirit will be with each and every one of us always and forever.Services will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 1:00 PM.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
