Charles David Klapproth, 86, of Midland, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 31, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas, Charles was the son of Clella Denton Klapproth and Judge Charles Louis Klapproth. He was raised in Midland and spent most of his life in the community he called home.
Charles had a deep appreciation for life and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He enjoyed learning about a wide variety of subjects and was known for his love of animals, his skill on the golf course, and his enthusiasm for hot rods. Above all, Charles will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Wade; his daughter, Danielle Klapproth; his son, Charles David Klapproth, Jr.; and his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Valentino, Leonardo, Giorgia, and Zoe.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Midland Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lone Star Animal Sanctuary in honor of Charles’s lifelong love of animals.
