Charles Coleman Briggs, 83, of Big Spring, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at his residence. Viewing will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 2pm-4pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born July 9, 1940 in San Angelo, Texas. His parents were Lazell and Claude Lovvorn. He graduated high school from Big Spring High School. Charles was a welder and had owned Briggs Muffler Shop for many years. He married Gaylia Marie Land May 28, 1976 in Big Spring at the First Church of the Nazarene. He was very talented with his hands building with wood and metal. He was a close family man. He loved to jitter-bug and dance.
He is survived by his wife Gaylia of Big Spring and a half-sister Mildred Mixon and many first cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lillie Pollock and husband Darrell.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care.
