Charlene J. Bolden was born on March 9, 1929 in Marysville, Texas to Stephania and Fred Johnson. On the death of her father in 1937, the family moved to Kerrville where she grew up in the home of her aunt, Mary Haberman. She graduated from Tivy High School and Schreiner Institute. In 1949, she moved to Austin. In 1951, she married J.L. Hutchison Jr. They moved to Midland in 1952 where he was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation. They were transferred to Roswell, N.M. in 1960 and returned to Midland in 1971. She was associated with University Lands – Oil, Gas and Mineral Interests from 1973 to 1994. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Chevron Retirees Association, Permian Basin Geological and Geophysical Auxiliary and was 1980 President of the Desk and Derrick Club of Midland. J.L. Hutchison Jr. died in 1983. In1989, she married G. Pat Bolden. He died in February, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Johnson.Survivors include sons, Mark Hutchison (Tracy) of Austin and Jay Hutchison (Cyndi) of La Grange; daughter, Sharon Ott (Rich) of Houston; sister, JoAnn Mandriota (Frank) of Bayport, N.Y.; brother, Fred Johnson (Martha) of Burnet; granddaughter, Amy Hutchison of Austin; and the children of Pat Bolden, Craig Bolden (Sylvia) and Cathy Bolden, all of Houston. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Midland, 911 W. Texas Ave., Midland, TX79701. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all of Charlene’s caregivers, especially Irma Guerrero, Zandra Flores and Amy Smith, and Hospice of Midland, especially Christine Hill, and all of Charlene’s friends that helped her during this time. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 3:00PM at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Beth Anton officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.,
