Celia T. Almuina, 68, of Midland passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Memorial services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1406 Woodcrest, Midland, TX 79703 at 3:30 pm, on Saturday, March 5, 2016.Celia Almuina was born on November 8, 1947 in Pecos, Texas to Seferina Fuentes and Augustin Tarango Sr.Celia, affectionately known as 'Sally', was instrumental in helping many families come to know a better way of life through implementation of Bible principles. Her late husband, Maurilio, and Sally were a very well respected and a very loved team. Always proud of her kids and grandkids, Sally was quick to offer her support and wisdom to them.Sally touched many families and helped many young ones grow and prosper. Sally took her supportive role very seriously and helped various missionaries in different counties, states and countries.In short Grandma Sally was an AMAZING woman. Her strong and never bending spiritual direction kept her happy and positive despite going through her own ailments.Her biggest accomplishment was to get to know Jehovah and to raise her Family under the protective wings that Jehovah provides (Psalms 91). Looking out for others in need was her trademark. We will miss you grandma. You are in Jehovah's memory awaiting the promise of the resurrection.Survivors include sons, Lolo Almuina, Mike Maurilio Almuina Jr., Marcos Almuina; daughter, Dora A. Gonzalez; six grandsons, Allen Almuina, Andrew Gonzalez, Michael Almuina, Brandon Almuina, Alec Almuina and Joshua Maurilio Gonzalez; three granddaughters, Ashley Gonzalez, Dedra Almuina and DesiRae Almuina; four great-grandkids; brothers, Ruben Tarango and Martin Tarango of Pecos, Juan Garcia-Bernallilo of New Mexico, Emilio Reyna of Lubbock, Hector Garcia, David Tarango of San Angelo and Rito Reyna of San Benitez; and sisters, Susana Fuentes of Dallas, Rosa Galan and Paula Trevino of Amarillo.She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurilio Almuina, Sr; mother, Seferina Fuentes; father, Augustin Tarango, Sr; brothers, Augustin Tarango, Jr. and Jimmy Tarango; and sister, Maria Salgado.The family would like to express their gratitude towards Midland Memorial Hospital; Hospice of Midland; Senior Care of Midland; her caregiver, Chicken, and all of her medical staff that assisted her.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
