Graveside services will be on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:00am at Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point, Texas through Allan Fuller Funeral Home.Cecil (Jr.) was born on March 24, 1927 in Wills Point, Texas to James Amos and Cecil Val Dodson Harris. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and received a Victory Medal. He was an entrepreneur and owned his own business, Harris Rat Hole Service, for 45 years. He shared his life and success with his beloved wife of 65 years, Wanda. Together they raised two boys, Terry and James. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially if it involved fishing, hunting, and quality time with his family. He was a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Harris, and sons, Terry Harris of Midland, Texas, and James Harris of Colorado City, Texas; grandchildren, Brent Harris, Jennifer Nunley, Justin Harris, Katherine Harris, and Brandon Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Cecil Harris of Wills Point, Texas; brothers, Dodson Harris of Wills Point, Texas and James Harris of Mayflower, Arkansas; sisters, Myrl Rankin of Wills Point, Texas and Peggy Stroud of Wills Point, Texas; and son, Jerry Lynn Harris.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
