Catherine 'Sue' Johnston, 63, of Midland passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Midland, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at First Southern Baptist Church of Gardendale, with Rev. Terry Easley officiating.Sue was born in Muenster, Texas on December 13, 1948 to Carl and Mary Edith Cleburn McGilvray. On February 14, 1969 she married Roger Hal Johnston in Lamesa, Texas. In 1992 Roger and Sue moved to Midland from Gardendale. Sue was a member and past treasurer of the First Southern Baptist Church of Gardendale, founding member and past secretary of the Clan MacGillivray Society USA, member of the Clan MacGillivray Society International and founding member and past treasurer of the Celtic Heritage Society of the Permian Basin.Survivors include her husband, Roger Johnston of Midland, Texas; son, Brad Johnston of New Hampshire; three sisters, Janet Evans, Dianna Hardman and Shannon Freeman; three brothers, Larry McGilvray, Stephen McGilvray and Michael McGilvray; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
