Carroll "Tony" Dahmer, 66, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.He was born on May 24, 1937, in Mozer, West Virginia and married Vicki Salmon on September 6, 1973 in Big Spring, Texas.Tony graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, West Virginia in 1955. He served in various branches of the Special Forces from 1956 to 1964 and was discharged from Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring. He worked for Cosden Refinery for 33 years, retiring in 2000. He also owned and operated Dahmer's Antiques for 30 years.He was a Methodist and was associated with the Salvation Army.Survivors include wife, Vicki Dahmer of Big Spring, Texas; one son, Matt Dahmer of Big Spring; four sisters, Nellie Calhoun, Violet Hevener, Macie Mitchell and Arbillia Calhoun all of Upper Tract, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Justin Dahmer, Amy Dahmer and Nicholas Andrew Dahmer. He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Dahmer; one daughter, Cindy Carroll; his mother, Phoebe Riggelman; his father, Clermont Dahmer; and by two brothers and two sisters.The family will receive friends at their home at 2600 Coronodo.The family suggests memorials to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1905.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
