Carrie Marie McMillan

     Carrie Marie McMillan, 93, of Stanton, died on Sunday, January 6, 2002 in a local nursing home. Grraveside funeral services were Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at 2:00 PM in stafford, Kansas.      She was born on July 7, 1908 in Preston, Kansas to Raymond and Ella May Reese and married Victor Harold McMillan on April 14, 1928 in Stafford, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1974.     In 1994 Marie had moved to Stanton, Texas to be near her son. She worked in retail sales and was a very talented seamstress. She made many wonderful stuffed animals and dolls for her grandchildren.      She was a member of First Christian Church of Stafford.      Survivors include three sons, Bobbie G. McMillan of Stanton, Texas, Truman H. McMillan of Wichita, Kansas and David McMillan of Vetura, California; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.      She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Leona Elizabeth Tedman, Velma Pauline Bates, and Myrle Larrine DavisArrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
