Carolyn Raiffeisen, 56, of Midland, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 6, 2005 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Kim Schuette , officiating. A reception and rememberance will be held on Friday, June 3, 2005 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at 5312 Green Tree Blvd. in Midland.She was born on March 30, 1949, in Waco, Texas and married Willard Raiffeisen on July 17, 1971 in Waco. She enjoyed playing tennis and any table games with family and friends. She taught school in Temple and Waco, retiring after 31 years in education. She was a member of the Christian Science Church, retired Teachers Association and in the past was acitve in the Junior League, Aggie Moms Club and a member the Waco Civic Chorus.Survivors include her husband, Willard Raiffeisen of Midland; daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer and Ryan Monroe of Midland; mother, Ouida Mair of Waco; sister, Dianne Thomas of Waco; granddaughter, Madysen Monroe of Midland; nephew, Shelby Brown of Waco. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Thomas and her father Kenneth Ray Thomas.The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Midland, 911 W.
