Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Jack and daughter Diane. She is survived by son David Dixon of Scottsdale, AZ., daughter Dayna McElreath and husband Calvin of Lake LBJ, grandson Michael Welch of Midland, granddaughter Paige Gibson and husband Daniel of Houston and great-grandchildren Mason, Colton, and Drew.

Carolyn had a deep and lifelong Christian faith. She was a natural caregiver, especially with the elderly, and volunteered for many years with hospice. She moved to Manor Park a number of years ago where she continued to volunteer and was a shining light to the staff and fellow residents. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren and the hours she spent on the phone talking with friends. She was a blessing to us all and will be missed very much.

Carolyn was one the most fun and encouraging women I have ever known. I will miss her more than I can say. Her faith was strong and her example true. She was a joy to be around. God speed, Carolyn.

Being such a sweet and kinda lady, Carolyn is still remembered at COM Aquatics. Her pool friends and instructors will miss her sweet smile.

Carolyn was a loving person and friend. She will be missed by all those people whose lives she touched.

She was always available for her grandson no matter what. She also blessed my two by giving all three season tickets to water wonder land. If Diane wasn’t able to be there, Jack and Carolyn would come get him for the weekend. He loved his Mimi. And we loved her too. It doesn’t see right that your not here, but Heaven trumps earth and we will see you again because I know you talked to Jesus. Jim
