On Friday, March 9, 2018, Carolina “Carrie” Salazar, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister was called by our Lord to return home to his kingdom, at the age of 67. She will forever be remembered by her husband and best friend, Abel, and her children Richard and Michael, former daughter-in-law Halley McIntosh; granddaughter Emily; brothers and sisters, Fred, Frankie, Virginia and Gerri. Carrie was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Emma Ramirez, and sister-in-law Anita Martinez.She was born on Oct 2, 1950, in Fort Stockton, TX, to Emma and Fred Ramirez. She was a loving and caring soul that enjoyed teaching others. She worked as a teacher and taught 1st and Pre-K. She worked 33 years with MISD and 6 years at First Presbyterian Church. Her most recent passion for the past 5 years was spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Emily Sofia Salazar from Littleton, CO.Carrie will live on through the many students and lives she touched while on this earth. We are all better people for having known her.A public viewing will be held from 12:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, March 12, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Rosary will be 7:00pm Monday, March 12, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be 10:00am Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at St Ann’s Catholic Church.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
