Carol Miller, 85 of Midland, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. For those who are unable to attend the service locally, the service will also be live streamed on their Facebook page which is St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Midland, TX.
Carol was born on November 2, 1936, in Dallas, Texas to Helen and Charles Lundquist.
Carol grew up in Dallas and attended Saint Edward’s High School in Dallas where she was a highly accomplished pianist. She attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas before marrying Thomas E. Miller in 1955. The family moved to Midland, Texas in 1967, moved to her current home later that year and she has lived in the same home since. Carol worked as an oil and gas legal secretary for Cotton-Bledsoe for many years. Carol was a voracious reader of many thousands of books over her lifetime and her legacy, love, and appreciation of literature has been passed on to all her children and grandchildren to this day. Carol was a highly skilled master cross-stitch artist as she has created many treasured pieces of art for family, friends, and St. Ann’s Church over these many years. She also loved quilting and taught several of her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews the skills required to create their own masterpieces. Carol offered her unconditional love to everyone; family, friends and total strangers and we are so grateful for her many sacrifices made to improve the lives of others. She never said “no” to anyone and she freely offered her unconditional love, support, guidance, and advice to all.
Carol is survived by: her six children, Thomas Miller (spouse Rae Irvine) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Brian Miller of San Antonio, Texas, Charles Miller of Lockhart, Texas, Aileen Miller of Midland, Texas, Ann Hedstrom (spouse Kelly) of Midland, Texas and Tony Miller (spouse Andrea) of Castle Rock, Colorado; her brothers and sisters, Marianna Van-Gilder, Charles Lundquist, Susie Aki, Jean Baggett, Paul Lundquist, and Cecilia Parker; her grandchildren Elizabeth, Aaron, Christopher, Austin, and Bodhi; as well as great grandchildren Christopher, Brendan, Phoebe and Sebastian (Bash).
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Lundquist and her brother, Hugh Robert Lundquist.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude towards Kindred Hospice for the care of our beloved mom, and to all of her dearest friends.
