Carol “Nonnie” Woolf, a woman of profound faith, boundless selflessness, and unwavering devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.
Carol was born in Odessa, Texas, on August 12, 1947, to Jim and Juanita Callaway. On February 27, 1970, she married the love of her life, Rankin “Poppie” Woolf. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, faith, and kindness.
She brought immense joy and light to everyone around her, was always ready for a good time and a good laugh and was never afraid to be completely silly just to make someone smile. Nonnie loved to sing at church and at home. Above all else, she treasured her family and found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
For 25 years, Carol served her community with a dedicated smile, working in ECISD’s school food service program until her well-deserved retirement in August 2002. She nourished generations of children with the same warmth and compassion she shared so freely with her own loved ones.
Though she possessed a lifelong, lighthearted fear of fish, her deep love for her family always outweighed her fears. In 2019, she courageously took an ocean swim, creating unforgettable memories that her family will cherish forever.
Carol is survived by her son, David Woolf; her brother, Jimmy Callaway (Vickie); her devoted granddaughters, Britney Woolf and Sasha McEachern (Drew); her “adopted” granddaughter, Amber Satterfield; her cherished great-grandchildren, Zoe Woolf, Brynna McEachern, and Ross McEachern; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Rankin “Poppie” Woolf; her parents, Jim and Juanita Callaway; and her beloved granddaughter, Kayla Grissom.
Her legacy of joyful laughter, unwavering faith, and selfless love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
