I have very fond memories of Coach Humphery. He was always a coach you could turn to for advice. A gentle man who you wanted to work hard for and please him.Young men of that era were very fortunate to have such men teaching in the class room as well as coaching. He has probably already organized a new team in heaven.God Bless you coach and your family.Buddy

I am so thankful for the many times we spent with Carlos and Willene. God truly blessed our lives in knowing and laboring for the Lord with them. Carlos was such a sweet, gentle, humble man and was a hard fighting soldier for the Lord. I've never known anyone who invited people to worship like Carlos did. Our loss is heaven's gain. Willene and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you.

~ Every kid who went to Runnels Junior High School in Big Spring, Texas for Thirty Five years, knew him as Coach. For those of us that knew him for the twenty plus years since, we knew him as friend, servant and brother. I am privileged to have to have known and worked alongside Carlos. He was a humble, meek and gentile man, with the heart of a fighter. And for the hundreds, probably thousands of his students that he has invited to come and worship with him – The invitation is still open! God's Speed Carlos, as you have accomplished His eternal purpose. ~ Tab

The Humphrey brothers are the funniest people I ever met. I am glad I am related. I loved when we would visit, or Carlos and Willene would come to Colorado and the two would sit and talk about the old days. They would talk about their Momma and Daddy, and you could almost feel like you were there. Uncle JR was a character too. All 3 are very funny men, with great story telling talent. Uncle Carlos you will be missed, but we will see you in heaven. Love Tammy

My sincere condolences to the family. Coach Humphrey made such a positive and lasting impression on me as my first coach at Washington Place elementary in 1956. He set a very high standard as a coach, teacher and Christian that few people in my life have been able to attain. Thanks Coach and God bless your family and friends.
