Carlos (Tiger) Cruz, Jr., 35, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, January 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Tiger was born November 11, 1976, in Midland to Deborah (Guerrero) and Carlos L. Cruz, Sr. He lived in Midland all of his life. He graduated from Midland High in 1995. He was commended by former President George W. Bush because of Tiger's high ACT scores. He scored in the top 2% in Texas and the top 4% in the nation. He loved being outdoors. Tiger worked for Steward Cable for 8 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed programming and fixing computers and electronics.Tiger was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Survivors include son, Christopher Cruz of Midland; parents, Carlos and Debbie Cruz of Henderson, NV; brother, Jeremy L. Cruz of Las Vegas, NV; mother of Christopher, Gina Puckett Leon; Christopher's sisters, Brittany Puckett and Samantha Leon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Billy Steward and Steward Cable employees for their loving support.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
