Carl Raymond Frazier, 79, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, September 11, 2008, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Binnix, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.He was born on February 14, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and married Billie W. Merrick on January 7, 1950 in Big Spring.Carl was a longtime resident of Howard County. He had worked at Cosden Refinery for 42 years, retiring in 1993. After his retirement he continued as a consultant for 7 more years. He served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean conflict. He was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church since 1962, served as Chairman of the Deacons since 1968 and taught the Men's Sunday School Class for many years. He loved working in his yard and traveling.Survivors include his wife, Billie Frazier of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Paul Davis of Stanton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy and Linda Frazier of Andrews, and Tony and Tina Frazier of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Brady Frazier, Daniel Melville, Travis Frazier, Joel Melville, Loriann Frazier and Ashlyn Frazier; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Shirley Frazier of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Loyd Hammon of Big Spring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sylvia Frazier and an infant daughter, Nancy Frazier.Pallbearers will be Pat Johnson, Sam Hammon, Steve Merrick, Todd Frazier, Greg Frazier, Shawn Frazier, Brady Frazier, Daniel Melville, Travis Frazier and Joel Melville.
