Our dearest, beloved husband, brother, father, and friend, Carl D. Crowson, 71, was called home to be with his Jesus on Thursday, December 10, 2009. He passed away at Midland Memorial Hospital after a long struggle with respiratory disease.Carl was born in Okmulgee, OK on August 6, 1938 to Fred and Odessa Crowson. He attended Velma High School where he is the current Typing Record Holder at 143 words per minute. He relocated to Odessa, TX in 1963 from Velma, OK with Sooner Pipe & Supply as a sales manager and continued as a long time oilfield businessman. His many ventures included Petro Construction President, Bovaird Supply District Manager, ICO Vice President for the West Texas Division, President of CPS Energy and current owner of Midessa Pipe & Equipment, LLC.Carl was a very giving person; he loved people and was involved with the community. He was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church. He was very proud of his days on the Shriner Scooter Patrol, enjoyed coaching Golden Gloves Boxing, Boys and Girls' Club and being a Boy Scout Troop Leader. He was also a Mason and received his 40 year pin on October 7, 2008.Survived by his sister, Betty Shirlene Crowson of Duncan, OK.He was previously married to Jessie Weatherford Crowson. His children are: Dennis Crowson, his wife Norma and their daughter Anna Marie; Brenda Crowson and her daughters, Heather (her husband Kyle) and Chelsea; Ronnie Crowson, his wife Michelle and children Tyler and Abbey.His wife of 31 years is Margaret Crowson and children: Waymon Armstrong, his wife Julie and son Zachary; Debbie Dennis, her husband Scott and son Brandon; and Bob Jaynes.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his stepson Clint Armstrong.Pallbearers will be Brandon Blake, Freddie Crowson, Brandon Dennis, Donnie Weatherford, Randy Lewis, Jim LambertHonorary Pallbearers are Wayne Armstrong and Melissa Lewis.Visitation will be at Sunday, Dec. 13 at Nalley, Pickle & Welch @ 3800 N Big Spring, Midland, Tx. 79705.
