Calvin Wayne "Mickey" Loyd, 58, of Gardendale, was taken from his family and many friends on Sunday, July 4, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born on December 5, 1945, in Wichita Falls, and married Sue Seward on July 30, 1987 in Wichita Falls. Calvin was a loving husband, caring father, and doting grandfather. Calvin or Mickey as he was widley known and affectionately called was the epitome of the American man. Mickey loved life and lived everyday to it's fullest. He worked hard as a provider and played just as hard. Everyone who knew Mickey loved him. He was respected by all walks of life, and brought a radiant shine to everyone's face. Mickey's playful sense of humor was a life raft in any pool of despair. Whether it was fishing in his childhood town of Holliday, Texas or riding with family and friends on his Harley, Mickey was at his best when he was making others happy. With the extinguishing of his candle the world is a less brighter place. He will be dearly missed.Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue Loyd of Gardendale; five sons and three daughters in law, Tommy Wayne Seward of Dallas, Billy Ray Beasley of Wichita Falls, Toby Lynn & April Sanders of Odessa, James Darrell and Kristi Sanders of Brady, Cody Brent & Tina Loyd of Odessa, two daughters and one son in law, Amy Christine Seward of Wichita Falls, Tiffany Michelle Lewis of Vernon; his father, Hilluard Calvertson Loyd of Holliday; two brothers & sisters-in-law, Tommy Lynn & Rebecca Loyd of Portales, New Mexico, Larry Don & Judy Loyd of Holliday, seventeen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
