Calvin Dayle McKenzie (Dayle), passed away on June 3, 2022. He was born on May 9, 1950 in Ballinger, TX to Mac and Edna Ruth McKenzie. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX.
He married the love of his life, Leticia, on May 11, 2001. In addition to being a devoted and loving husband, he was also the most wonderful father and grandfather. His daughter Kelley has always said he was the best dad to her when he didn’t have to be.
Dayle served 3 years in the US Army and in Vietnam. In April 1969, he completed basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas and was then stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, he was then transferred to Ft. Hauchuca Arizona prior to arriving overseas. He held the Army Comendation Medal. During his service, he was promoted to Army specialist five while serving with the 4th Infantry Division near An Khe, Vietnam. One of his favorite memories was when he surprised his mom upon his return.
He worked as a Lineman for Caprock for over 40 years before retiring in May 2011.
Dayle loved going to the river to fish. He loved spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Leticia McKenzie of Stanton; daughters Kelley Pickens of Midland, Cindy (Jason) Roberts of Big Spring, and son Tommy McKenzie of Little Rock Arkansas; 4 granddaughters, Audree & Austin McKenzie, and Makenzie & Carlie Roberts; 1 brother, Wade (Diann) McKenzie of Midland; 4 sisters, Edna Ringener of Stanton, Brenda (Dean) Duke of Converse TX, Bonnie Bryand of Midland, and Lana (Dan) Ledbetter of Midland; sister in law, Alice Armstrong, of Midland; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Herb Armstrong.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kirk Henson, Cody Mauldin, Mike Cooke, and Jeremy Bedingfield.
