Cabell Mathieson Mackie, 62 of Coahoma, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his home. According to Cabell’s wishes, he will be cremated. The family will hold a memorial June 17th, 2023 at 2pm on Cabell’s land.
Cabell was born on August 26, 1960 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Don and Carolyn Mackie. Cabell came to Coahoma at an early age and graduated from Coahoma High School. He remained a lifelong resident of Coahoma. At times in his life, he was a horse trainer, farrier, government trapper and had worked for the City of Big Spring since 2008, but his greatest love was being a true cowboy. He ran cows and raised horses throughout his whole life.
Cabell is survived by his nephews, Skylier Sandridge with wife Brionna and Jace Sandridge. Great niece Cheyanne and great nephew Palmier Joe, who Cabell called his “Little Gremlins”.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cindy Redding.
The family would like to thank all of Cabell’s friends, who have stood by him over the years.
