C. V. Wash, 96, of Forsan, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.Mr. Wash was born on May 16, 1910 in Coleman, Texas and married Mae Crumley on May 19, 1929 in Millersview, Texas. She preceded him in death on February 25, 2000.C. V. came to Forsan in 1928 to work for Humble Oil & Refining. He owned a grocery store in Forsan for 9 years. In 1942 he was the founder of Forsan Oil Well Service and later Forsan Oil Company. He was a member of Forsan Baptist Church for over 50 years and served as a deacon for many years. He also served on the Forsan ISD School Board.Survivors include two sons, Bob Wash of Forsan and Danny Wash and wife, Paula of Waco; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Wash of Big Spring; one sister-in-law, Lura Hunter of Austin; nine grandchildren, Robert Wash and wife, Beckie of Forsan, Debbie Rutherford and husband, Johnny of Austin, Charla Lewis and husband, Charlie of Big Spring, Renee King and husband, Steve of Kerrville, Chad Wash and wife, Kellie of Big Spring, Terri Strickling and husband, Ashley of Houston, Jonathan Wash and wife, Jessica of Waco, Merryl Jones and husband, Will of Waco, and Leandra Cole of Waco; 19 great grandchildren, Kassi Wash of Big Spring, De'Amberlyn Brown and husband, Gary of Ft. Worth, Rusty Baker and wife, Jessica of Forsan, Tanya Hartman and husband, James of Moran, Cameron Clinton of Austin, Brodie Wash and wife, Cassy of San Antonio, Derek Wash and wife, Taryn of Big Spring, Will Rutherford, Laura Rutherford of Austin, Dustin and Haley Lewis of Big Spring, Blake and Collen King of Kerrville, Kinsey and Katie Wash of Big Spring, and McKenzie Cole, Evan Cole, Grant Jones and Reid Jones all of Waco; three great great grandchildren, Maegan, Katie and Haden Hartman of Moran and caregiver, Dorothy Cresman.He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; one daughter, Laura Faye Wash; one son, Charles Wash; one daughter-in-law, Nita Wash; two grandchildren, Diane Wash and Billy Wash; one brother, Delan Wash; and one sister, Nettie Bob Wash.Pallbearers will be Robert Wash, Johnny Rutherford, Jonathan Wash, Charlie Lewis, Steve King and Will Jones.
