Buford Ladell Howell, Sr., 65, of Big Spring, died on Friday, May 16, 2003, in a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park, with Chaplain Carroll Kohl of the V.A. Medical Center, officiating. He was born on August 9, 1937 in Texas City, Texas and married Joyce Brown on December 31, 1959 in Austin, Texas. Ladell owned and operated B's Lawn Service since the 1970's and had worked at Pepsi Cola in Austin for fifteen years before moving to Big Spring. He loved fishing, bowling and bingo. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Howell of Big Spring; one son, Buford Ladell Howell, Jr. of Big Spring; one daughter, Tammy McFadden of Lawton, Oklahoma; one grandson, Dale Schenck of Lawton, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Ray and Geneva Howell and Kenneth and Mary Howell all of Big Spring; one sister, Joyce Riddle of Big Spring and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Howell and one brother, Melvin Howell. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3205 W.
