The term "fellowship of believers" mentioned in Acts 2 is so much more than sharing meals and posession and stories of truth and faith. It is also that thing we carry in our hearts that makes us feel instant kinship with other Christians we meet next door or in some far away land. I have felt a strong "fellowship" with your family since I heard of the accident on the school trip, last Saturday morning. I am a stranger to you, although I have cheered for your boys as they ran cross country races for MCA. God has raised up many brothers and sisters in Christ, unknown to you, who have have shared the fellowship of your suffering this week...constantly lifting your names to the Father, often praying for His peace to cover you, His love to uplift you, His hope to sustain you. Those who the Lord has called to stand in the gap for you will not faint. We will not grow weary. We will continue to intercede on your behalf in the days ahead. "The LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him...you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When He hears it, He will answer you...He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left. (Isaiah 30: 18-21)
