Bruno J. Gonzalez, 78, of Stanton, died on Monday, June 12, 2006, Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Stanton with Rev. Thomas Vempala, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Stanton. A rosary will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.He was born on October 6, 1927, in San Jose, S.L.P., Mexico, and married Enriquetta Reyes in September 1946. She preceded him in death. He then married Piedad Mendoza on February 14, 1957 in Mexico. She preceded him in death on September 12, 1984. Mr. Gonzalez lived in Martin County for 42 years. He had coffee every morning with the Town & Country Coffee Club in Stanton. He served as member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church. Survivors include 8 daughters and 3 sons-in law, Herminia Gonzalez of Midland, Eva and Allen Williams of Birmingham, Alabama, Leticia Madrid of Odessa, Macrina Gonzalez and Sergio Valdez of McAllen, Rosa George of Stanton, Maria and Mario Martinez of Grand Prairie, Ignacia Gonzalez and Juana Gonzalez de Martinez both of Mexico; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Victor Gonzalez of Houston, Joe R. and Mary Jane Gonzalez of Stanton, Jose Concepcion and Berta Gonzalez of San Antonio; 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Sabino Gonzalez of San Luis Potosi, S.L.P., Mexico and Saturnino Reyes of Santa Maria, S.L.P., Mexico; 4 sisters, Macaria Luera of San Antonio, Julia Gonzalez of Pasadena, Quilina Gonzalez and Roberta Gonzalez both of San Luis, Potosi, S.L.P., Mexico.
