Bruce Wynn McKague passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Monday, October 1, 2012. He is now reunited with his beloved son, Jason, and is resting peacefully in the arms of Our Father.Bruce was first and foremost a devoted father to his children, Jason and Carrie. A true lover of people, he was a genuine friend to many from all walks of life. Those who knew him can attest to the fact that there were few on this earth with a sharper wit able to word things as humorously and magically as Bruce. His kindness, humor, and ability to make others feel at ease will be greatly missed. Bruce was also a brilliant and accomplished machinist with an enviable passion for his craft. He had an intimate relationship with machines and an uncanny ability to make things run. A car fanatic, his final words were to his daughter, agreeing that yes in fact he would race cars in Heaven. Bruce was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Berta McKague, his maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Jason Wynn, his parents Bruce "Cookie" and Minerva McKague, and his son, Jason Wynn McKague. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Griffith, and her husband, Michael, as well as their two daughters, Nola and Mabel. A special thank you to all who cared for Bruce with such love in his final months, especially to Josie Villarreal.
