Brother Jack Clinkscales, 88, of Big Spring, was called home on Resurrection Sunday, March 27, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Big Spring with Rev. Jim Wilkerson, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in San Angelo and Rev. Bobby Fuller, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.He was born on April 18, 1916, in London, England and married Georgina "Gean" Buttle on September 29, 1948 in Lindsell, England. Jack served in the Royal Air Force for 6 years during World War II and flew spitfires. He owned a mercantile business until coming to the United States on July 22, 1957. At the age of 15, Jack surrendered to preach and pastored various churches in Indiana, New Mexico and Texas. He retired from Forsan Baptist Church in 1996 after 26 years of service and continued to preach and serve as interim pastor until his death. His last sermon preached was March 20 at Tarzan Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Gean Clinkscales of Big Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Patrick Schulz of Andrews and Brenda and Jack Doil of Monticello, New Mexico; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Caren Clinkscales of Big Spring; one brother, Graham Martin of Ipswich, England; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two sons, John and Peter Clinkscales and two sisters.The family suggests memorials be made to the Gideons International, P.O.
