Brenda Sue Ballard

Brenda S. Ledford Ballard, 62 of Midland, Texas was called home on December 21, 2023. The family will receive visitors from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Brenda, affectionately called “Dimples”, was born to Delores and Arthur Ledford on October 17, 1961, as the second oldest of five siblings. She was a tenacious child and mother, full of love and protection for her children, grandchildren, and family, dedicating her life to ensure everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for most of her children’s lives, before finding her passion as an office manager at a local optometrist office for over 20 years, until she retired to become a full-time Mimi. When she wasn’t traveling with friends and family, you could find her nestled with a Stephen King book or watching her favorite horror and sci-fi shows which included reruns of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. Dimples had the most beautiful smile and infectious laugh that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her witty and sarcastic humor made for many laughs and memories for everyone she encountered. Her journey in faith and relationship with the Lord grew stronger when her brother-in- law, Nathan, began ministering and leading her towards a more rewarding relationship with our Heavenly Father prior to his passing. After battling an undiagnosed illness here on Earth, Brenda’s beautiful soul has ascended to be with our Lord where she is no longer in pain, walking joyously in the streets of gold and speaking without difficulties or hesitation. She has been made new, and our hearts, while navigating our painful loss, rejoice knowing she is in the presence of our Savior wrapped in His warmth and love.

Brenda is survived by her three children, Derek, Shaunna and her husband Cory, and Breann. Grandchildren, Christopher and Gabby. Her siblings, Belinda and husband Bobby, Sheila, Abby and her husband Dennis, John and his wife Imelda. Many nieces and nephews include Chris (Gator), Bobby (Buck), William, Luke, Jolene, Calilee, Ashley and Christa. Great nieces and nephews include Nathan, Noah, Michael, Colton, Ethan, Tyler, Grayson, Blake, Loghan, Khloe, and Lainey as well as a great, great nephew Nathaniel.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father Arthur, her maternal grandparents Marie and Albert,

her paternal grandparents Leslie and Hugh, and her brother-in-law Nathan.

The family would like to express their gratitude to friends and family who reached out and

helped during this difficult time. Your words, phone calls and visits have been of great comfort to everyone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jubilee Center of Midland or The West Texas Food Bank, both of whom helped tremendously during her trial here on Earth.
