Brenda and Charles were high school sweethearts and soul mates from Denver City, TX. They married May 25th, 1970. Together they raised two children while some may say the children raised them. Life was never a dull moment between them. She once said, “He may not be perfect, but he IS perfect for me!” In 1978, they began a business which through hard work flourished and is now run by 2nd and 3rd generations. She was eminent in accounting, being offered a job with the IRS once after an audit. Traveling was her favorite thing to do with Charles and they had some funny adventures to tell. Brenda was 51%, the other half of Charles, the love of his life. She was a crafty artist who loved to doodle, paint and fire ceramics. She could jam on a bass guitar and left her baby grand piano the grandchildren loved playing on with her. Her children have fond memories of her playing piano when they were young. Brenda was known for having the best smelling perfumes, fun holiday gatherings, impressive decorations and over the top gift baskets and gifts. She had a knack with children and animals they were drawn to her; most people were. She was involved in many charities, her favorites were Peeps and Creeps animal rescue, Pink the Basin Breast cancer awareness in honor of her close friend, and Addie’s Hope in honor of a neighbor family that so lovingly seemed to adopt Brenda and Charles as their own.
Her family was her biggest worry and biggest joy in life.
To her children and grandchildren, she was the Matriarch and she led us by example. We are lost without her. She is already a missed Wife, Momma, Nana, Sister, BoBo and friend.
You did good, Momma. Rest easy now.
