Bonnie Miears, 60, of Big Spring, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Elwin Collom, officiating. Bonnie was born September 28, 1952, in Garden City, Michigan to Bon Lloyd Brackney and Dorothy Whitfield. She married Gary Miears July 31, 1988 in Big Spring. Bonnie was a Registered Nurse and worked for several places in Big Spring, most recently Home Hospice, until she became ill. She loved her dogs, sewing things for her grandkids, and playing cards and dominoes.She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Gary Miears of Big Spring; one son, Gary Miears, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Big Spring; one daughter, Kimberly Carnagie and husband, Shaun of Longmont, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Robert Kurtz and wife, Sandra of Ventura, California, and Ernie Kurtz and wife, Ann of Iowa; one sister, Marty Stephens of Midland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
