Bonnie Hale Cushing, 86, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Graveside funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.She was born February 25, 1932 in Dawson County, Texas to Howard and Viola Newton. Bonnie married Donald R. Hale and he preceded her in death in August 1987. She then married J. B. Cushing and he preceded her in death in September 2007.Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and Howard County. She was an artist and had numerous paintings in area businesses. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled all around the world. She was a member of the Mary Jane Club and DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).Survivors include a daughter, Toni Morrow and husband, Larry of Odessa; a son, Austin Hale of Big Spring; two grandchildren, Erin White and husband, Clay, and their children, Landry, Chandler and Jase of Lubbock, and Seth Stovall and wife, Megan, and their children, Emzie, Paxton and Ollie Rae of Big Spring; a sister, Doris Pope of Big Spring; a sister-in-law, Leola Newton of Big Spring; and her special friend, Orrand Carroll of Big Spring.She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.The family suggests memorials to the donor’s favorite charity.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
