It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Alton Reeves, aged 80, who departed this life on April 16, 2025. Born on April 9, 1945, Bobby was the beloved son of A.C. and Myrtle Reeves and the first child in his family to be born in a hospital.
Bobby graduated from Midland High School and found his career at the Midland County Appraisal District where he worked for over 40 years. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and he rarely missed a game.
On October 24, 1981, Bobby married his dearest friend and partner, Shirley Reeves. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and countless precious memories. Bobby was a devoted husband and a cherished family man, and his greatest joy came from being a grandpa to his seven grandchildren. He took immense pride in watching them grow, always encouraging their dreams and endeavors.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father A.C. Reeves, mother Myrtle Reeves; and siblings Alfred, Sybil, Charles, Billie Dale, Joan, Beverly, and Leroy.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Reeves; children Mary Wallis (Phillip) of Midland; John White of Midland, Cody Reeves (Zoë) of Midland, Crystal Langenberg (Jack) of Grapevine, grandchildren Savannah Marten, Madison Marten, Jeremiah Wallis, Geoffrey Wallis, Scott Marten, Theodore Reeves, and Eleanor Reeves; siblings: Betty O’Neil Bagwell, Nancy Reeves Young (Wayne), and many nieces and nephews..
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, from 6-8 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 11 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends and family are welcome to join in the celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homeline Baptist Church of Midland.
