Bobby Ray Blair, 89 of Midland, TX passed away at home on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Graveside services will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:00 am.
Bobby was born on February 28, 1933, in Hooker Oklahoma to Robert H and Cora Haddock Blair. On January 5, 1952 he married Patsy Joy Dosher. After raising their family in Farwell, Texas, Bobby retired as an “Avid Farmer”. He and Patsy moved to California where Bobby worked with his brother in the trucking business for a number of years. Before moving to Midland, TX, in 2014, he and Patsy lived in Tipton, Oklahoma. He served as County Commissioner and later as Mayor of Tipton.
Bobby enjoyed his collection of pocket knives and his collection of Miniature Die cast model John Deere tractors. His prayer time and daily bible study was very important to him and he was a longtime member of the Baptist Church.
While living in Midland, he and Patsy were members of the Seniors Citizens Center of Midland and enjoyed their daily luncheons and games.
Survived by 3 children, a son, Robby Lee and Lois Blair of Midland, Texas, a daughter, Pamela Joy and Russell Stewart of Midland, TX, and a son, Jubel Shan and Tammy Blair of Tipton, Oklahoma. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cora Blair, his wife, Patsy Blair and one granddaughter, Samantha DeLMatter.
The Family would like to express their gratitude towards Kindred Hospice of Midland for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice or Senior Citizens Center of Midland.
