Bob F. Hill died at 1:57am on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in his home in Midland.He was born August 29, 1937, in Santa Anna, Coleman County, Texas. He attended first grade in Santa Anna. His family moved to Iraan, Pecos County, Texas, in about 1943. The rest of his school years were in Iraan, where he graduated in 1955. Bob served his country in the 3rd Armored Division of the Us Army, stationed in Germany. Army buddies became his lifelong friends. He started working in the oil field in Iraan and retired from the oil business in Midland in 1996.Bob was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a trustworthy employee. His favorite hobby was golf. He was a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church of Midland.He is preceded in death by his son, Jay Steven Hill, and his parents Homer Hill and Mattie Zue Featherston Hill of Iraan.Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Shirley Jean Sanders Hill; Daughters Lori Kathleen Hill Canon of Iraan, Sherry Lynn Kolstad and husband, Mark of Austin; Kelli Hill Smith and husband, Rick of Midland; and Debbie Hill Henson and husband, Kirk of Stanton; Grandchildren, Madison, Brooklyn and Kason Kolstad of Austin; Cody Sikes, Brittainy Sikes and Andrew Smith of Midland; Maranda and Ryan Henson of Stanton; and Cassie Henson McClure of Springtown, TX; one sister, Betty Hill McCray and husband, Ken of Ft. Worth; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.A funeral is scheduled for 11:30am, Saturday August 15, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with burial following at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.The family suggest memorials to be made to Hospice of Midland P.O.
