Bobbie Ruth Nix

Bobbie Ruth Nix, 87, of Big Spring, passed away surrounded by her family Monday, April 7, 2025. Visitors may come and go Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 9am until 9pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm Funeral services will be held at 10am, Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Chance Nichols and Chase Pinkerton, officiating.  Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Bobbie was born October 17, 1937 in Zephyr, Texas to parents LeRoy Eugene Henderson and Attie Mae (Beaty) Henderson.  She married Larry Nix in 1966 and they made their home in Big Spring.  Bobbie loved showing cattle, sheep and working on the ranch with her dad.  She especially enjoyed shearing time.  She loved dancing to Hoyle Nix and Bob Wills and playing the piano. She worked numerous jobs throughout her career but being a wife and mother were her favorite.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry; her children Tommy Bruce Scott (Laura), James Larry Nix (Mary) and Brenda Gayle Herrin (Scot); her grandchildren Layne Scott (Kade), Taylor Scott, Jennifer Oxford (Byron),  Ethan Blevins, Julie Nix and Joe Harris, Jr. (Kara); great grandchildren Kinlea Scott, Ella Harris, Kelsey Scott, Henley Oxford and Blane Oxford; her brother Stuart Henderson (Peggye) and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Attie Mae Henderson and one brother Johnnie Henderson.
