Bob Lee Tarbet, 87, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. A family visitation will be held at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on Sunday, June 14th. A memorial service will begin at 2:30pm.
Bob was born on October 12, 1938 in Lamesa, Texas to Price (P.K.) and Ethel Tarbet. Bob graduated from Ackerly High School in 1957. He was a cotton farmer before becoming an operator at Cosden Refinery where he worked for 35 years. In addition, Bob worked at Tate Plumbing. After retirement, Bob refinished several antique tractors which he enjoyed entering in Tractor shows. Bob was a faithful member of the 14th & Main Church of Christ.
Bob is survived by son, Davey and wife Lisa Tarbet; a daughter, Kristi Bloskas and husband Larry; and son Ted and wife Melissa Tarbet. Grandchildren: Tabitha, Tori, Keith, Cassie, Cale, Price, Sara and Taylor and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Sharon.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards his sweet friends at Park Place, the wonderful people at Interim Hospice as well as his 3 compassionate caregivers, Linda, Jessie and JoAnn. These people brought kindness, comfort and peace to our family during this difficult time for which we will always be grateful.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Lung Association.
