Binie Lee White, age 90, of Vincent, Texas passed from this life April 15, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:00 am Monday, April 19, 2021 at First United Methodist Church Big Spring, TX. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born on September 21, 1930 in Lubbock to Binie and Nell White. He grew up on the family ranch in Howard County. After graduating from Coahoma High School he attended Texas Tech University. He served in the Army during the Korean War after which he returned to Tech and completed his degree in Agricultural Economics. His job as a salesman for International Harvester took him to Seminole, Texas where he met and later married the love of his life, Edna Parker, who was working at her father’s dealership. They made their home in Tahoka, Texas where he worked for Lyntegar Electric for 34 years, while also managing the family ranch, overseeing land into cultivation and establishing a herd of black angus cattle. After retiring from Lyntegar he worked and lived full time at the ranch.
He is survived by Edna, his wife of 63 years, son Brad White (Gigi), daughter Denise Goodwyn (Craig), grandsons, Seth Goodwyn (Caitlin), Parker White, Jayson Goodwyn, Truett White. His sister Martha Kallus, her daughters Elizabeth Kallus and Mary Kallus, nieces Sharla Ogden and Rebecca Boss and nephews Mike Carter and Stuart Parker, and a close group of first cousins.
Binie was honest, loyal, wise, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and lived his life with integrity. He was always ready to extend a hand in greeting someone. We will miss his earthly presence, but will continue to feel his spirit forever.
Binie placed a high value on education, in lieu of flowers consider donating to a fund set up in memory of a young cousin, John Thomas Butler Memorial Scholarship, 2110 Wellington Ct. Midland, TX 79705 or Food 2 Kids program First United Methodist Church Big Spring, TX.
