Billye Lou Whiteside, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Scarborough Cottage, Manor Park, Texas.
She was born October 23, 1928, in Goldthwaite, Texas to Ralph and Margaret Goodwin. She attended Texas State College for Women (now TWU). She married Ray Whiteside. Billye Lou was a mother of four and lived with kindness and generosity. She volunteered in the Midland Memorial Auxiliary organization (pink ladies) and helped people with information at the hospital.
Billye was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Lynette Kingsbery of Lubbock, Texas, Steve Whiteside and wife Julie of Midland, David Whiteside and wife Cindy of Hollsville, Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Billye is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, and daughter, Brenda Rokey.
A private graveside service was held for the family.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Manor Park for the special care they provided to Billye. Also a special thanks to Star Hospice of Odessa for their caring service at the end of her life. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Billye honor to a charity of your choice.
