Billy Wayne Johnson of Midland, Texas passed away quietly on June 30, 2026 at Midland Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Bill is survived by his wife Nelda Johnson. They were married 67 years. Bill is also survived by daughter Marcia Lakas, husband Basilio Lakas, grandchildren Micah Kuzawa and spouse Cole, Hannah Lakas, and Demetrio Lakas, and great granddaughter Kaia; son Mike Johnson and spouse Christi, grandchildren Ethan and Maci Johnson; son Mark Johnson and wife Anna; Jimmy Hoffman, Jenny Warsco, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Isabel, and Gabriel Warsco.

Bill had a long career in insurance in Midland since 1968 until retirement in 2007. Bill loved family, golf, fishing, and playing cards with the guys.
